Welcome to DeepWater Kids

Here at DeepWater we are passionate about the next generation.  As a faith family we are committed to investing in children on Sundays and our goal is that your child would excitedly ask throughout the week "Is today church day?!"  We want children at DeepWater to be encouraged by volunteers, enjoy time with friends, learn more about the Good News and God's Word and have lots of fun doing all of these things.

We also desire to encourage parents and grandparents to lead their children spiritually and make faith meaningful in the home.  We look forward to welcoming you and your child to be a part of the DW Kids Ministry.

Hey everyone! My name is Alex Casale!

"I am overjoyed to be serving with your precious kids! I have been caring for young children in various environments and age ranges. Now, I am excited to be in a place growing them closer to Christ! A little about me.... I grew up in Mount Pleasant my whole life, and attended Wando High School. I graduated in 2018 from Clemson University (Go Tigers!) with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Youth Development Leadership. At Clemson, I was heavily engaged with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). Within those four years involved with FCA, I grew the deepest in my relationship with Christ. Just recently I started my journey to become a Child Life Specialist. I am in a Master’s program at Bank Street where I will be majoring in Child & Family Development. I love to be outside whether soaking up some sun or going for a run! If i’m not doing that, you can probably find me wandering through Hobby Lobby or Target.

At DeepWater Kids we are dedicated to fostering the gospel in an age appropriate and fun way! We prioritize safety with a security sticker check-in system, and will always ensure your children are cared for. It is our hope for our DeepWater Kids to be so excited to come back to church the next Sunday! "

How early can I check my child-in?

Check-In starts at 4:45

Who will be watching the children?

Our “Crew Members” (volunteers) will be watching children each Sunday. All Crew are required to have a secure background check and pass Ministry Safe training online before able to serve with the children.

How many Crew Members will be assigned per child?

Our ratios are as follows…

Babies: 1 Adult: 2 Babies

Walkers: 1 Adult: 3 Walkers

Toddlers: 1 Adult: 4 Toddlers

Elementary: 1 Adult: 5 Students

How are the rooms divided?

Babies (non-walking), Walkers (walking - 2),

Toddlers (3s-4s), Elementary (5K - 5th grade).

What is your safety procedure?

We use a security sticker process. Upon Check-In, one parent will receive a sticker and the same sticker will go on the child’s back. When picking a child-up a Crew Member will ask for your sticker and make sure the unique security code on the parent and child sticker match before giving the child away. If someone other than the parent is picking up the child, just let the Check-In Crew know and we will make arrangements!

What will go on during Children’s Ministry?

DeepWater Kids is using Gospel Project for our lessons on Sundays. We will watch an age appropriate video or skit, followed by a short small group discussion time and activity/craft. There will also be time for Goldfish and free play on the playground! 2 different videos/skits will be shown - 4 years old and under will watch one and the elementary will watch another. At DW Kids, we LOVE to sing our hearts out to God - there will be time integrated for our children to sing and maybe even learn some dance moves!

How do I get my child involved with DW Kids?

On Sunday’s come to the Check-In table and let a Crew Member know you’re new to the church! We will have you fill out some basic information, show you around our ministry area, and guide your child into their assigned room.

Will there be snacks?

Yes! We will be serving Goldfish. If your child cannot eat Goldfish or if you prefer them to have a different snack, please let a Check-In Crew Member or Alex know and we will make accommodations. You’re always welcome to provide alternate snacks in a diaper bag, or in a Ziplock with their name on it!

Hang tight while we prepare your form...
