Welcome to DeepWater Kids!

Here at DeepWater we are passionate about the next generation.  As a faith family we are committed to investing in children on Sundays and our goal is that your child would excitedly ask throughout the week "Is today church day?!"  We want children at DeepWater to be encouraged by volunteers, enjoy time with friends, learn more about the Good News and God's Word and have lots of fun doing all of these things.

We also desire to encourage parents and grandparents to lead their children spiritually and make faith meaningful in the home.  We look forward to welcoming you and your child to be a part of the DW Kids Ministry.

DeepWater Kids Ministry meets each Sunday during our 10am morning worship service. Children will join the adults in the worship service beginning at 10am and will participate in the opening worship song, announcements, and normally another worship song.  Having our children in the service allows them to worship alongside their parents/grandparents and for us to join the generations.

Hi! we are so glad you are here.

Hey, thank you so much for checking out our Kid's Ministry page!

My name is Jessica Coleman and I am currently serving as the Interim Children's Ministry Coordinator! This is a true joy as I taught as an elementary school teacher for many years before I had three beautiful (& rambunctious) daughters of my own.

While we meet at the Exchange Club, we encourage families to worship together for the beginning portion of the service, and then the kids will be dismissed outside with me and our trusted volunteers.

During our time together we have fun, learn about God, memorize scripture, hear Bible stories and play games related to that days lesson.

I am pumped to serve and partner with you and your family. Come check-in your child, you will see the check-in table at the back of the building when you walk in, and come meet me!

In the mean time, please read our Q&A section below or contact our team if you have any questions or would like to arrange to meet on a Sunday before things get started at jessica@deepwaterchurch.cc

How early can I check my child-in?

Check-In starts at 9:30am

Who will be watching the children?

Our “Crew Members” (volunteers) will be watching children each Sunday. All Crew are required to have a secure background check and pass Ministry Safe training online before able to serve with the children.

How many Crew Members will be assigned per child?

Our ratios are as follows…

Babies: 1 Adult: 2 Babies

Walkers: 1 Adult: 3 Walkers

Toddlers: 1 Adult: 4 Toddlers

Elementary: 1 Adult: 5 Students

Where do they meet?

Children's Ministry currently meets outside at the Exchange Club (with a beautiful view!) during the "teaching" portion of the worship service. We encourage families to worship together with their children during beginning of the service and then they will be dismissed outside.

We encourage your child to always bring a jacket since they will be outside!

What is your safety procedure?

We use a security sticker process. Upon Check-In, one parent will receive a sticker and the same sticker will go on the child’s back. When picking a child-up a Crew Member will ask for your sticker and make sure the unique security code on the parent and child sticker match before giving the child away. If someone other than the parent is picking up the child, just let the Check-In Crew know and we will make arrangements!

What will go on during Children’s Ministry?

DeepWater Kids uses Orange curriculum for our lessons on Sundays. The different age groups watch an age appropriate video or skit, have the lesson read, taught or reviewed from the Bible, followed by a short small group discussion time and activity/craft. There will also be time for Goldfish and free play on the playground! At DW Kids, we LOVE to sing our hearts out to God - there will be time integrated for our children to sing and dance.

How do I get my child involved with DW Kids?

On Sunday’s come to the Check-In table and let a Crew Member know you’re new to the church!

Will there be snacks?

Yes! We will be serving Goldfish (per their request!) while the children are outside  If your child cannot eat Goldfish or if you prefer them to have a different snack, please let a Check-In Crew Member know and we will make accommodations. You’re always welcome to provide alternate snacks in a diaper bag, or in a Ziplock with their name on it!

What additional opportunities are offered kids?

Great question!  During the school year we are looking to have a few events or gathering for our children and we will publish those dates to parents.
