Frequently Asked Questions

Check out the information below to help you prepare for Church on the Beach! When you arrive, be sure to stop by the Welcome Table and say hello—we can’t wait to meet you!

  • Is There children's ministry?

Yes! Kids Beach Club is available for children ages 3 years old through 5th grade. Kids will join the congregation for the first two songs and announcements before being dismissed with their parents to the Kids Beach Tent across the beach path during the greeting time. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our Children's Minister, Jenny Throne, at jenny@deepwaterchurch.cc. We can't wait to meet your little ones!

  • What about parking?

You are welcome to park for free in any designated parking spots along Palm Blvd on a first-come, first-served basis. Isle of Palms residents with a valid parking tag may also use select spots along residential roads, subject to availability. Additionally, parking is available at Isle of Palms Baptist Church (14 24th Ave, IOP) on Hartnett Blvd. However, please avoid parking directly in front of the church. Thank you!

There is also golf cart parking along the 25th Ave Beach path!

  • Do I need to bring anything?

Please bring your own chair and a Bible for the service. We’ll provide a bulletin to guide you through the service, and extra chairs and water will be available if needed.

  • What if it rains?

We assess the weather conditions & make the final call by 7 AM on Sunday morning. If conditions aren’t suitable for an outdoor service, we will move indoors to Isle of Palms Baptist Church (14 24th Ave, Isle of Palms). Stay tuned to our social media for the latest updates!

  • Is there a golf cart shuttle?

Yes! After parking, head to the 25th Ave beach path, where one of our volunteers will be running a golf cart shuttle to assist you back and forth. We recommend getting there before service starts to give you plenty of time to get to service and set up your chair.

  • What do I wear?

Come in your Sunday best, or your beach gear, it's up to you!

  • What if i need to use the restroom?

Bathrooms are available at Isle of Palms Baptist Church (14 24th Ave) and can be accessed through the back door of the sanctuary. For directions, just ask someone at the welcome table! However, we recommend using the restroom before arriving for the service.
