We believe the Mission of the Church was given by Jesus himself, and never changes (see Matthew 28:18-20; John 20:21; Acts 1:8).
This unchanging mission is to glorify God by making disciples of all nations.
So how will DeepWater accomplish this mission given by Jesus? And how will we say it?
DeepWater Church exists to be a faith family passionately pursuing Jesus
and deeply loving the island and beyond.
“a faith family…” – We believe that Christianity was never intended to be just an individual’s private religious experience or expression. Rather, when someone enters into faith in Christ they also enter into a faith family that is the church.
“…passionately pursuing Jesus…” – We believe that the Christian faith involves following & knowing Jesus Christ. Jesus’s death and resurrection has given the opportunity to be forgiven, free and connected personally and corporately to God– this is something that causes us to be passionate in our desire to know Him.
“…deeply loving the island and beyond” – We believe that as a church we are called to share the love of God through our actions and our words. The church does not exist for itself, but for the world. Therefore, we will seek to intentionally and sacrificially serve the island, our state, the nation and the world.
